Rules problem in Rush for Europe

I just joined a Rush for Europe, which is an interesting game mode (6X speed) when there's occasionally time to sort of be glued to the screen.

However, I find that the game rules should be changed. First of all 2 real days of inactivity for players is far too long. It means the game will go on to day 12 before inactives are replaced by AI

By day 12 many Europe games are sort of semi-decided already. And in this game where speed is so high, countries can be overrun even faster. So having idle players for 12 days makes Rush for Europe a tedious clubbering of the 75% of nations that join up and then idle.

Part of the idling problem, btw. is probably the initial 12 hours peace period. This is far too much for a 6X game. It is like 3 game days. And I think many of the inactives simply gave up waiting because 12 hours wait typically means that the game you signed up for during daytime starts in the middle of the night.

So the grace period should be much shorter. This is a fast paced game anyway, so it should also be possible to get going quickly too.

I agree with you, especially because in 12 days, only a handful of the nations are left, and most of the inactives would have been destroyed already. It is even more faster in the rush for Europe map, which is 6x the speed.
