This isn't just to piss of Herr Hoffman right?
I propose a poll to decide who wants and who doesn't

I propose we get SAMs. Like the BA-349. Travels and flies like a plane except it is like a fighter and tac bomber since the BA-349 could've been used against both planes and ground troops as it was a manned SAM. Simple enough really.

Ah yeah, I will do that later in a proper thread.
Good stuff.
Started a new thread and attacked me in the 2nd comment. Do I know you Dave? Or are you just this way with everyone? Do not mention my name again.comrade dave wrote:

Futuristic crap is what kills this game. It needs to stay purely WW2 with maps that allow for more futuristic weapons if you choose them.
I didn't attack you, maybe you should just leave me alone and I leave you alone. It looks a bit sad that your hunting other people down.
This is WWII. Look at the damn unit it is based.
Would these be like the cruiser of the air branch? (good for countries that don't need a big air force)
How come I can still comment? Is a ban an honour kind of thing?
I would presume so.comrade dave wrote:

Yes, that is the idea Sal.
In a way, we apparently already have those; earlier I attacked a city that had V1's stationed there; attacked with 3 tac bombers and a 9 fighter escort. The missiles that survived then automatically launched after the attack and targeted my planes; lost 4 fighters.
Apparently the French have really good aim with V1's...

That's weird, they shouldn't do that.James Hylton wrote:

Famous last words.
And my opninion of a lot of game 'features'. But I dont bitch. At least not this thread. That would be OT.
On topic: Isnt the Natter just another (more simple) type of rocket interceptor, primarily inteded to shoot down bombers? I dont see its use against ground troops.
I will say one thing only: HVAR.BlackPrince2 wrote:

Have you seen a Natter?
The thing is meant to fly straight up & fire its rockets.
Its not an attack helicopter.
Although that type of unit would be nice. If Herr Hoffman agrees (no slight intended).
how would those units affect gameplay balance? aren't there already units that fulfill those roles?
An attack helicopter would be a new type of unit.
Similar to, but not the same as ground attack aircraft / medium bombers.
Higher attack value vs soft targets.
More easily damaged (less hitpoints).
Low range, low speed (compared to other aircraft)
Need airfield/industry to produce, but do not need an airfield to operate.
Ahem* Supremacy 1991 thread, off topic section *ahem
