I propose we get SAMs. Like the BA-349. Travels and flies like a plane except it is like a fighter and tac bomber since the BA-349 could've been used against both planes and ground troops as it was a manned SAM. Simple enough really.

Maybe adding SAM at the 1950 tech tree will be a good idea. Helicopter, and jet planes are other nice idea for late tech. But more early like the BA-349 you talk are much rare, or only for some nation, a little like the human-torpedo of Japan.
