To be honest i think the interceptors are pretty good couting planes already

Scout planes
I think cheap and fast producing scout planes would be a nice addition. They could be lightly armored compared to the fighter planes and should also be able to to see further than the fighter planes.
Just an idea, let me know what u guys think.

Agreed, that's why you can build interceptors right from the start, they are like the air scouts similar to the armor car being the ground scouts.

and if you want longer range just make 2 or 3 lvl1 strat bombers.
Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world.
