It would be nice if you could search for a new game to join by the ranks of the participants. Therefore if you wanted to join a new game with only experienced players you could search for new games by rank.
I think this is a great idea and would greatly improve the user's experiences with this game.
I think that having all players join each game equally is not fair to the players.
As some players will be brand new and others will be highly experienced, it is not a level playing field for the new player and not a challenge to the experienced players.
By allowing players to search games by rank would greatly improve the users ability to choose the proper game for their skill level.
Well, to some extent you already can do that by reviewing the names of players (and their ranks and ratings) who have already joined a game. I've reached a point in my COW career where I won't join a game if it's entirely populated by rookies and other junior players. It's not fair to them, and it's really not a lot of fun for me to massacre players who are still learning the basics. I'm not one of those guys who enjoys clubbing baby seals for ratings points. I like taking down the cocky know-it-alls, especially those with a penchant for spending lots of gold.patton232 wrote:
