Selecting planes problem - solution: clickable dot

There is super big problem of selecting planes. Sometimes it takes quite a numer of tries to do so.

Especially if we have 15+ planes, for example fast rocket fighters on a map of 4x speed, it comes to almost mission impossible.

Solution might be if any plane under it, would have a dot, similar in size for the dot on every province center. It's colour should be of the colour of the country. It should be clickable, so it would be easier to shot the plane in move, by mouse

Please... :D it's so problematic to click on moving planes sometimes :S

If you hold the right button you can use the select multiple units feature on the plane. If other units are accidentally selected, split the stack.

But it does not work if I have multiple units of same kind of planes around, and this problem I mean.

I know and I use right-click selection option, but it does not help in such situations

when planes are bunched up and you want a specific stack. just click any plane nearby, then use the arrow keys to cycle thru stacks. you should be able tell the one you want by the blue or red arrow indicator telling you from which airbase it is operating.

Problem is with trying to click on the plane, which moves and sometimes your mouse arrow gets on plane and when You want to click, it already moved so You have to point again and again... so it's different problem that You mention.

Clicking on moving plane is hard

when you try to click a single stack. try clicking slightly above it. if you are selecting a single plane or stack you can also use the right mouse button to draw a circle around the airfield from which it is operating and that will select the plane/stack. you dont have to draw a circle around the plane, circle the airbase instead.

Yeah the problem is that to select it is not a matter of just click on it... it's matter of TRYING to click on it, cause it's so hard. Planes are moving fast and there is like half of second when You point it and it's highlighted and after that time is shadowen and unselected again...

It's hard to select planes. And it's hard to select units when there are many of them.

Good tool is in mobile version and it would be usuful sometimes in desktop version too.

[Picture] Try to click all of them one after another to move patroling circle... it really can be irritating to do. And sometimes there is much more of them than here

Unless you're a gold user enthusiast you wouldn't have that many tacs patrolling over a friendly province, and group them into stacks of 5. BTW I can see you're on the Antarctica map, you shouldn't need 50 tacs patrolling over that province anyway.

Stacks of 7 > individual planes

sigh...

again. you can click just one airplane, doesnt have to be the right one, and then use the arrow keys to select the next unit.

Besides, the Mobile versions dot feature is impossible to find right unit. It doesn't give enough information to distinguish multiple units from one another.

No, when the stacks are different. And even clicking one after another is hard. It should be as simple as clicking province. You want you just click once and it's selected. Not playing for few seconds and clicking averagely for 5-10 times to select what You want.

If You send planes one after another, they are 1 milimeter form each other and it's very very hard to select the one You want and then select the other.

I made this picture just to show, what I mean about lots of planes in one place.

please try the arrow keys. it will fix the problem you are having. the arrow keys cycle thru your units. click any unit nearby, then use the arrow keys to move from unit to unit. It will work, trust me. I do it all the time, thats why I replied here to try to help you.

I didn't know arrows option. Nice thing. Arrows work with units but not with selecting province.

Still would like to see on desktop version the selection tool to use with mouse.

It solves problem of not being able to select province.

The arrows keys are best.

I've also found that spreading the patrol centers out a little also helps. That the way the patrol stacks are traveling slightly different paths. You have to experiment to see how big a difference means your needs. You can do like one north of a province center. Then east, south, west. If you have more, you can visualize a pattern that will work for you.

But the problem with such set up of patrol zones is that the opponent can take their planes just to cross one zone, then another and then another and easier get rid of Your planes, cause of dealing with just part of them at a time.

Already experienced it. Some people use this tactic.
