Shairng Research
A new Diplomatic Relation to shared research, it could alternatively be used as a feature of shared intelligence
It would mean to nations share the cost of research, but they both get the technology afterwards.
and Say nation A has more research than Nation B and they activate this feature, Nation B would be able to pay cash (either to the world or to Nation A) to unlock that research, e.g. Nation A researched level 7 infantry before the feature was activated, they are both currently researching Nuclear Bomber level 2 under the relation, but Nation B never researched level 7 infantry, depending on how many levels of infantry they researched, they will pay a price to unlock that research

Yes that, and also, it sounds like you should ALWAYS participate in these programs, individual research would be way too expensive in comparison. Unhealthy to force player cooperation like this, there's already MORE than enough advantages for cooperation._Pyth0n_ wrote:

Players dividing research and thus reducing the needed research to get high level units is the REASON that trading units was removed from the game. Also how would this be affected by players of different doctrines? If I as an Axis Player research Motorized Inf on day 1 can I share that with an Allied player that should not be able to research it until day 3 (iirc) and in return would an Allied player be able to share Tactical Bombers with me on day 1 when I would not normally be able to research it until day 2? Also what happens if I leave that coalition that shared research? Or if I join after research has been completed? Also in your suggestion it will disadvantage ALL players that are not in coalitions that can share research.
I would suggest that before you make additional suggestion to improve the game that you first ask if there is a reason for the way it is currently? Main times the answer will be yes, to provide an fair game to all.

Yes, but there is always a very big chance that someone will quit your alliance and stab you in the back, that's why you'd have to be careful with shared research.K.Rokossovski wrote:

No, you can only share research on what you both have access to, and yes, I do realise how easy this would be to abuse, so maybe shared research would take longer.S Schmidt wrote:

From
Two countries sharing the cost to produce research -> Country with already researched technology can 'share it' in a trade that will speed up the research by mmmmmmmm 25%.
Costs will remain the same as the country would still have to acquire new equipment/machinery to be able to independently produce higher tier units.
*Perhaps your share trade relation would increase that research speed %...
