If I don't build forts it's because resources would be better spent elsewhere, not because of build times.

shorter construction time for lvl1 fort
The fortofications are very important in the game, but a lots of player doesnt use them at all because their long building time. I think an lvl1 fort is not a big deal, and should be construcet under 4 hours, any other levels would remain on 24 h. This simple change would shape the frontlines more managable, the players could react their opponents offensives fastly, and i cant see a reason why wont be it cool.
What do you think?

I don't build forts because too much resource AND to much time.

A 30% damage deflection bonus is actually a lot for a lvl 1. fort. Forts are supposed to take a long time since they're considered a luxury, you don't need them to win, they cost a lot and take time to build, but they make life easier.
