Solo Victory (2nd position)
Don't get me wrong for being too specific but personally, I think a player wining a game with second position should be considered a solo victory. Let me know your thoughts.

I just said so. You’re in second, that’s not a win. You need to have first to win, that’s a pretty simple idea. No need to complicate it.

usually in other games (even RTS games), 1st, 2nd and 3rd are considered winners but why is 2nd and 3rd considered defeat in CoW?Carking the 6th wrote:

That’s how it’s been for years and this is a world conquest sort of thing ig… you end up taking so much that just enemy can oppose you and the world is yours, so there is technically no room for any other winner. A coalition or first player is enough, and having 2nd place wins counted as victories in your record would kinda mess things up for people who would like to only know first.

Besides...2nd place solo pays more in gold than a 1st place team win. Go figure.
For that reason only, maybe 2nd place solos should show on your service record.

Honestly, I don't know how you even get a 1st place win except maybe in the introductory 22 player Europe games. In my last coalition win, 50 player game, I controlled about 23% of the map but was on the verge of having to spam propaganda centers to keep revolts down. A solo win would be twice that territory ... eek.

That’s actually a bit unfair. I had a game where somebody got more gold than my teammates and me simply because he was the only active guy beside us and he slowly ploughed through the AIs in AmericaNostroma wrote:

most of the times, a person on 2nd position gets the same gold as the coalition on the 1st rank and I won't blame him for being too active eitherYou-Know-Who wrote:

if that is so, a person on the 3rd rank can also get more gold than 1st rank coalition. Besides, I am totally fine with second rank players getting equal gold as 1st rank coalition, it should just be considered a "solo victory"You-Know-Who wrote:
