Some changes to the game

Ive only been playing for couple weeks so hear me out.

My thoughts for improvements/game changes to encourage extra players.

Improve trade relations through diplomacy to get extra income, goods, food etc to help secure an efficient income between whatever countries since its a slow process to get anything as it is.

Realistic statistics For attacking/defensive military. For example anti air artillery is not listed to have strength against air units. Tactical bombers stats should be altered realisticly as its weak attacking tanks and naval units. Doesnt mean naval bomber should change tho.

Alliances/A.I Before joining a map you should be free to select any country, i want denmark but i cannot select as its computer programmed instead. And the coalition should maybe increase aswell if A.i were to be taken out to involve more players for exciting unexpected positionings through out the game.

Research/Production You have to make industrial and infrastructure to help improve more goods made and to make units etc. Thats fine. However, would be nice to be able to create your own oil by making oil rigs to make your oil so you can have a faster source of income to sell to players same with other resources.

Thanks for reading. this has probably already been suggested but i registred just to say my thoughts.

By slow you mean that it's too hard for you to open the market tab and buy/sell what you need or that it's too hard to directly send an offer to another country?

There's no such unit as anti air artillery, I'm curious where you found that one.

It seems that you are suggesting that there be a way to set up a trade deal that automatically transfers resource income between nations. While this is an interesting suggestion and something that I have considered myself, I feel that the stock market system and single payment trade deals currently present are sufficient for CoW. Adding another system could potentially just bog down the game and confuse players.

A: AA guns do have stats against aircraft; however, because of how air units work NO units except for other air units have an attack vs air. Land units cannot attack flying aircraft, only defend agaisnt them when attacked, and thus do not have an attack value. If caught on the airfield with no defending land units, air units will turn into infantry class units; if caught with defending units they will attack the enemy.

B: Tactical bombers do not need to have good attack vs ships because that is what naval bombers are for.

C: Tactical bombers do not need more attack vs armor. Tacs are already the most powerful unit in game and, if used correctly, will absolutely shred any land force thrown at them. They have worse attack vs armor than infantry because armor is armored and infantry is not. The whole point of putting armor on something is to protect it from damage.

A: Maps (except for the 25 player world and 10 player blitz maps) are designed to give all players an equal starting position. Weaker nations are deliberately excluded so that players will pick the viable nations that actually have a chance of surviving on their own. This helps ensure that nations vital to the flow of a game are picked, making a more enjoyable experience for all. If you would like to play unbalanced scenarios try the historical maps or the event 'All countries, All in' which unlocks (admittedly in random selection) all nations on the 25 world map.

B: Coalitions scale with the max number of players on a map. They are designed to be small enough that you will still have to fight most of the world to win. Any larger and it would be far too easy for the obvious winners to simply team up and win; as it is, there will usually be at least one or two big late game wars between people who cannot coalition.

Oil rigs, and any other type of resource specific gathering operation, is abstracted to industry and infrastructure, as well as the base production of a province. The oil your provinces produce already comes from oil wells, rigs, derricks, etc. To improve your income you must conquer territories and upgrade those you have with ICs and infrastructure (and ports, if you have spare oil).
