SP Artillery L-4 view range is marked as less than attack range?!

Why is SP Artillery L-4 view range less than attack range?! This seems inappropriate (you can't hit what you can't see).

Or is it just a typo in the Unit's profile?

Many units can bombard beyond their visual range.

Pairing a nearsighted unit with a spotter unit such as an armored car has always been a standard practice of mine.

This sounds really dumb, but every time I get a shot in with my arti, I move it closer a little (maybe around 40-50 mins distance), fire again, repeat until I can see the enemy unit. Then I can decide whether if I want to continue bombardment or not.
