They can't allow a spectator to see specific information about a current game. It would then be trivial to use it to gain intel for your match.

Spectating matches
Every time I press the spectate matches, it takes forever and when I wait for it to load, it takes about 1 hour to load. I want some way to spectate a match without having to wait for it to load for more than an hour. I want it to be fast. Here is my idea when you improve the spectator mode.
(1 You're able to see everyone's movement even AI's.
(2 You see everybody's relationship with each other.
(3 Game treats you like you're in the match
(4 You aren't a country
(5 You can't speak to other players for it will be overpowering
(6 Game saves when you decide to spectate a match and add's it to your main games
(7 You're able to see what they are building, what they are executing in stock markets, etc.
I hope you improve the spectating mode, or redo it. I would love to see how the game works. Please tell me if there are any improvements this could have or add any new things to it. Happy new years!

Are you out of your mind?!? With so much multi-accounting going on (or even just getting that intel for a friend), this is simply ASKING for very serious abuse!

Sometimes spectate mode hangs while loading. Try hitting the back button, that usually works immediately for me.
As to the rest of your suggestion, KR covered it well. Maybe it'd be cool to be able to have an omniscient view of an entire match as a replay, once it's concluded, but seeing it live would be an incredible opportunity for abuse.

if the spectating is a month older as the game is than its ok think I, but not if the gameinformations are pretty fresh and I dont see why they shouldn't be a month old. the game doesn't change every week to a complete different game....

I'm no expert, but that would probably create more strain on the servers to replay the game in real time for others to spectate. Honestly aside from AvA matches and such, I can't see there being much demand for this sort of thing.Blauer Drache wrote:

But seriously as others have pointed out, showing troop movements and such in spectate mode in real time could possibly be the most abusable idea I've ever seen posted here. Imagine how easy it would be to have a friend give you your enemy's troop locations? No need for spies anymore.
