1 - the race arms events for exemple that is 4x speed must be a permanent options!!!! For the expericence i can tell u is very attractive for players and also very good for the game admins cause it cause GOLD spending!!! So please make the 4x server a permanent feature... it do not matter the map...
2 - i think the game can have a mediavel map, where in the place of the tanks we can use knoghts! The city to be like castles and so on, u got the ideea... the gameplay is the same, just the time of the war must be more in the back times... the effort for the admins it will be minim: just exhenge the name of the units, make a different photos for the map and for the units and we can go to war like the old knights!!!
CONCLUZION: i play online games for the last 15 years i think, right now, for 2 years at minim i play ONLY CoW.
Condragtulation for the game, is the best, and i use gold regulary just beacuse u deserve!

I also am enjoying the arms race. I would like to see it as an option that could be enabled on user created smaller maps.

Check out New World Empires. Same game engine, different words and pictures. Just what you asked for.

Yes, i wish tournament map would have every time two kinds of game possible 1x and 4x.

Making the 100-man map 2x speed (because it is now nerfed BELOW 1x) would drastically increase and more importantly KEEP player interest. People go inactive cause that map is too slow.

Last I checked, the 100 player map is now at the same pace as other maps(key words being the last time I checked)... And most of the new player base leaves before they even unlock the 100 player map.
I mean, it does go inactive because of it, but even on maps with normal speed, people leave because it is too slow. Basically, if it was made slower, it was made slower for a reason. Sure, being bored from the slow progression isn't a good thing, but getting everything and then not doing anything because of it is worse.
