Have the game manufactures every thought of doing Spilt Games? As the 100 player maps seem to have 50% quiting rate now. Here is an example: You have two 50 player map games. Lets say the Pacific map and then you have Europe/AFrica/rest of Asia map. None of the players know what is happening in the other map. They play their 50 player Map until day 30. Then when you have 6 to 10 players left on each map at day 30. The Games merge and become One Creating new alliances and New strategy. This would keep interest in the game as it moves forward, cuz basically after day 25 everyone knows what is going to happen right now. I know the game also has to think about Money making(gold buyers) . Since Most Gold i assume is bought early in the game, this would add an Influx of Gold Buyers at day 30 as well. I may be just a pro Wrestling Promoter but in My business we create drama and storylines to keep fans interested and spending money. This is a way to keep Players interested and spending money. Plus it adds a little spice on the unknown.

1 - bigger maps are more attractive, for some reason
2 - the point is to end the game, not to restart it at mid-game
3 - where would be the point in splitting the game to merge them afterwards just by removing the inactive players
4 - wouldn't be better to not have such a big amount of quitters?

how would the maps merge?
what if two active players from both games occupy the same provinces?.......

I think what he is getting at is have a 100 player game, but put split the map in half with 50 on each map.
I think you would be limiting the strategy at the split line due to the new border. It would be awkward to have a secure back (edge) and suddenly have a neighbor on day 30 with no prior negociation.

I am not a software programmer. I have not even played one on TV. But what was proposed above strikes me as an added layer of complex programming that is certain to create more software bugs than any of us cares to imagine.

yeah, I am studying computer programming and web development right now, and personally I wouldn't want to code that.
sounds easy in concept, but an absolute nightmare to implement.
