Spontaneous Generation:

I just love the way the NPC’s can just conjure up a troop in a non-city province. I sent all my planes around to kill off all his troops, and next thing I see with my armored car is a NPC troop pop up in a random province. Wish I could do that.

Ive never seen that maybe it was a hidden unit like a miltia or anti tank?

Nope, just regular infantry.

It could have been in fog of war area where you did not have full visibility or line of sight.

So what you are saying is that regular infantry can hide from Tactical and Attack Bombers? Also, I had a Armored Car sitting in the capitol city waiting to cap just before day change.

I never seen troops being built in rural land. It must have been hidden from your view in some way, like walking between two provs.

You can think what you want, that it was hidden under a rock, or behind a bush, or dropped out of space. But this thing popped up as I was watching the screen in full view of one of my armored cars (the inner circle of light, whatever that is called). Day change was about an hour away so I was working to finish off the provinces and get the cap just before day change.

I put armored cars in every stack, and sometimes I put several when I am going into a situation where I expect the provinces to be void of troops. Then I can split them off to run around and cap all the provinces. Sometimes they run into troops in a province that I didn't check with my interceptors/bomber groups. That was not the situation as there were only 4 or 5 provinces left.

I played my first computer games on my Apple IIe. I will let you do the math on that. My observation has been that when playing against the computer (AI) the only hope it has of wining is by cheating. The higher you set the difficulty settings in solo games, the more it cheats.

I am not complaining that the computer (AI) made a troop pop up without having a city. It is just an observation. More of a "WTF?" moment than anything else. I actually found it rather amusing and worth sharing.
