Stacking Levels of Units

I'd like to propose a suggestion for change / improvement. All too often players will create huge stacks of units. There are varying reasons for doing so, sometimes as an attacking strategy but often as a last means of defence. Most frustratingly this can often also be in their last city or province.

There are 2 aspects to this strategy that seem out of context with the game. Firstly there are simply too many units for them to physically fit into the land mass, let alone be controlled in an effective way. Secondly at some stage the daily supply requirements of these units can no longer be met.

I understand that large stacks are limited by the use of the best 10 attacking units / best 10 defending units etc. But that large stack of units provide an awful lot of HP's to be fed into the battle. To my mind there should be some limitation on the number of units that can stack in one city or province. As an alternative the mass stack could incur additional damage due to the concentration of units.

Lack of resources to support these large stacks could effectively be dealt with by applying attrition to units that do not have the required amount of daily resources. A quite realistic approach to the effects of sieges on cities, encircled units.
