I don't know if anyone here plays their other games but Conflict of Nations and Supremacy 1914 (their other games) are in an abysmal state right now, filled with bugs and hardly any updates, plus the forums are closing down.
Is this is an indication of the future of Call of War??

I’m curious... why did NWE fail?
Well it did not generate enough revenue, getting more users produced more costs than income, so marketing could not break even and had to be stopped. Thus the game slowly died and was shut down when the community was too small to justify the costs of maintaining the servers.
As to why it failed in terms of the game itself? We can only speculate as there is no 100% clear answer. One prominent theory is that it had too little PvP compared to our other games and offered too many alternative victory conditions (usually PvP generates more revenue in our games than PvE). Or that the core loop was too complicated and content was bloated with redundant stuff, thus making it harder to onboard new players. Or the setting being too niche. Could also be several factors at the same time.
at least for me is the lack of pvp even with a group of friend of 16 we usually need to cross a lot of ias to reach the enemy, if we get together near each other we kill us very fast and then we got a map with full ias.
Then is the problem of how slow it was, even if i defeat a friend there is the problem of producing admins and annex a province one by one, exploring was slow, colonizing was slow. And you realize its was boring and tedious.
The multiple win conditions was a nice idea, not a problem for me.

A shame. From the look of it it seemed to be a game taking place in Renaissance Europe and America? Seemed like a good concept.
The one time I tried playing NWE, it, like S1914, was BORNIG. The whole "colonization" part of the game took forever to build up, and like @freezy said, most of the game was PvE, and hardly any PvP. I think there were like, only 2 other humans on the map (out of 30 or 40 player countries) so most of the time was competing with AI to take as much land as possible.
Definitely can see how that didn't work out.

Ah, makes sense. Still sad, I hope they can come back to a game with the same concept but improve it. I guess it makes sense that it wouldn’t take off as much as a concept like the world wars, even if it was a good game though. Every one know No No Germany, the Soviet Onion and El Estados Unidos. Few in comparison know the Holy Roman Empire (which was actually none of those things) the Papal States (basically a part of Italy controlled by the pope, including Rome and Ravenna most of the time) or even the Ottoman Empire (or at least how the Ottomans worked at this time period) It’s still possible but probably more difficult and risky, so why not just go for a cold war game or something? I’m not sure.

Why do you refer to our country as No-No Germany?
Are you anti-German?

I’m pretty sure he’s referring to Germany between 1933 and 1945, not the modern German nation.

This. Just making a slight joke. I think you can say Nazi Germany here anyway.

Discord actually has threaded conversations and now even has a forum feature, which I would like to see in our discords as well. There is still some improvement to do.
Our Discord has a suggestion forum now btw, I also give comments there.
