After playing this game for about 1 week or two, I realize that there is no sound or music.
I think a good game should have at least sound (like bombing, airplane noise, etc...) the closer you are to the units or structure. The louder it gets.
In additional, alot of game have mini-map. Since this game have no min-map.
I think there should also add a sound notification/warning to the player (like an intruder have cross our border toward XX a specific area/ location).
A good game without sound/music is like a cat without a tail.

I like the idea but how would you organise it? If you are zoomed out a lot of territory will be in the screen. There will be planes flying around, boats sailing, troops mobilizing, artillery bombing, soldiers dying. It would be a big mishmash of different sound that would become irritating fast.
Simple, they setup the cam zoom system like 1x, 2x, 4x, etc..
And then the farthest will only hear nuke, and heavy bombing, jet. The closer the zoom the more noise and unit you can hear.

Just so you can turn it off if you don't want it

In Conflict of Nations, if you click on a certain troop, it will make its sound. If I click on a shooting infantry, it will be gunshots. If I click on a plane, there would be engines and bombs. So sounds come up when you select the unit. I think that would work (also make it so you can disable sound in case someone gets ANNOYED)
I hope this would help, and hope that yes, sounds get added in.
Also, you could add music in the main screen.
Quick Suggestion: When games load, it's boring so you could also add music, sound effects of gunfire and other sounds, and maybe even videos.

If sound effects get added, I might as well suggest adding music of war when clicking on a unit who's in a battle
