Suggestion for New Game Options: OMIT GOLD!

I know this has been said time-and-time again, but I am even more firmly rooted in the idea of having games where you CANNOT spend Gold! The new World map just become completely bogus to me and four others all because of a Gold user: when tactics become useless against someone with deep-pockets, the game becomes nothing but depressing!

:wallbash :wallbash :wallbash

I am not saying to remove gold, but give us an option in games where there is either a limit to spending gold (such as a per-day limit, or even overall play limit), or an option to omit the usage of Gold. Anyone else have thoughts on the matter?

(Let it be noted that I am also a Gold user, but I use Gold ONLY to compliment my tactics, NOT as a substitution for them!)

Im guessing he sabotaged the fella who was attacking him? Last I checked, you cant sabotage your own provinces.
Of course you can't, that would be a little counter-productive... this must have happened logically.

Oh. Right. You can delete this thread.

A VERY VERY good depiction of what will happen can be found in Supremacy. :P It is fairly safe to assume that a lot of the players here, come from Supremacy, and that for over the last year, this same conversation has been brought up, discussed, and dismissed. The chances of this realistically happening is literally zero.

Unfortunately, yes, that is right.

I can imagine that this topic has been brought up much in Supremacy(never really played it much to be honest). For me personally, I dont find gold users much of a problem. Not many are willing to spend over 40$ on a single game. And for those who do, I notice that they get wolf packed. Aggressively expanding countries tend to be ended quickly. Lastly, not many gold spenders are really too skilled.... :P

Yes 100% true. Even if someone decides to "GM spam" it seriously takes A LOT to really do anything, even more so if you are trying to clear defenses from your enemy. Though GM make the game 'easy mode" there are optimal ways to use them. Seriously like $10 to drop a level five fortification isin't cheap. You could almost think of "GM spamming" as a freemium android game. Depending on the situation, you could make them spend hundreds of dollars.

Though personally, I do not have a problem with "GM spammers" either. Typically I do not run into them, when I do, typically I beat them, or am in a bad spot in that game and would have lost regardless. Though spending gold early game can be devastating.

You are correct. It isnt cheap, and its not too common for it to happen. And if it seems impossible, just leave and archive the game. There are others you can play. Try playing multiple so when it happens youll have something to fall back upon. :D

I always have three running for this very reason.

Just 3? Why not have 10+? :P
LOL I'm never gonna check in to all of those and stay active.

Gold will NEVER-EVER be omitted. Hence, it is utterly useless to continue the discussion here in this thread.
