Suggestion - Game Speed

This may have already been suggested but I was thinking about game speed and the possibility of increasing it.

Maybe make a "gold feature" where you can increase the speed of everything in game by x2 or x5 or higher, though I wouldn't go crazy with it like x10. Make day changes happen every 12 hours instead of every 24 hours. Victory conditions would stay the same but as far as the gold payout, probably take a 50% cut only because you could potentially finish 2 games in the same amount of time as 1 regular game.

I think some people would be open to this and it would certainly make games go faster for those who want it that way. It would almost have that feeling of a Real Time Strategy (RTS).

What do you think?

I like the Idea of a more fast paced game. I would say that a smaller map might improve the quality of a faster paced game. Maybe have Small 4-8 player maps with multiple AI countries.

that is basically changing the entire game..

that means somebody could take over your country before you even wake up..

game has lots of fast paced elements as it is...

improving land speed is the worst thing to do..

Bad idea. This suggestion would change the current style of the game.

I don't really like this idea. It would ruin the whole aspect of the game with people changing the day all the time. I would probably get sick of it soon. The great think about CoW is how you always know when the day changes, and you don't have to worry about joining a game with day change every 12 hours.

10-4, Thanks guys. I understand what you're saying and it makes sense. I do like the fact that I don't have to log on so often as well but I also like a faster paced game from time to time so I figured I throw in the idea to see what others thought. I appreciate the feed back. :)

Correct, and for this reason it is a bad idea.

There is already lots of fast pace action, like when fighting in the Air and in The sea..

Totally agreed, it would be to much to keep up with.

The proposal has apparently been declined.
