Suggestion: New National Doctrines, a Desert Doctrine, a Chinese Doctrine, and Japanese Special Attack Units

Hello Call of War developers and community!

I would like to suggest expanding the doctrine system in Call of War by introducing more national and regional doctrines inspired by World War II.

I believe that adding more doctrines would make the game more historically diverse and give players more reasons to try different nations. Each doctrine could have its own strengths, weaknesses, units, and playstyle based on the country’s military history, equipment, and strategic situation during World War II.

Here are some of my ideas:

1. Italian Doctrine

An Italian doctrine could reflect Italy’s military equipment, armored forces, naval operations, and campaigns in the Mediterranean and North Africa. It could offer a distinctive playstyle based on Italy’s historical military characteristics.

2. French Doctrine

A French doctrine could emphasize defensive warfare, fortifications, artillery, and organized defensive positions. It could represent the French military’s historical characteristics while also allowing for different strategies and unit combinations.

3. British Doctrine

A British doctrine could focus on naval power, air defense, radar technology, and expeditionary warfare. It could offer advantages in naval operations and defensive coordination without making it too powerful compared with other doctrines.

4. Japanese Doctrine

Japan could receive a more historically distinctive doctrine that reflects its naval aviation, specialized aircraft, and military equipment during World War II. This could give Japan a more unique identity beyond its existing doctrinal characteristics.

I would also like to suggest adding Japanese special attack units inspired by the historical kamikaze operations of World War II. These could be represented as specialized in-game units with unique mechanics, limited flexibility, and appropriate production costs. They should be balanced carefully so that they provide a different strategic option without becoming overpowered.

5. Desert Doctrine

A Desert Doctrine could be designed for warfare in desert environments, emphasizing mobility, supply management, and combat effectiveness in harsh terrain. It could be inspired by the North African campaign and introduce new strategic choices for nations fighting across desert regions.

6. Chinese Doctrine

A Chinese Doctrine could reflect China’s military experience during World War II, including defensive warfare, the challenges of fighting across a vast territory, and the difficulties of maintaining military strength with limited industrial resources. It could offer a distinctive approach to defense, prolonged warfare, and resource management.

I understand that adding new doctrines and units would require significant development work and careful balancing. However, I believe these additions could make Call of War more varied, historically interesting, and strategically engaging.

I would also be interested in seeing other nations receive their own unique doctrines in the future. The goal would not be to make certain nations overwhelmingly powerful, but to give each nation a more distinctive identity and create more diverse gameplay.

What do you think about these ideas? I would love to hear suggestions and feedback from other players.

Thank you for reading!
