Supply Lines

In my unbelievable perfectly professional thought out opinion, this game need some kind of supply line.

The Idea:

All countries have a capital, the supply lines goes from the capital to the units at the battlefields. Without a capital you can not have a supply line, supply lines can not go through enemy territory, but it can go over water although you will need a dock to take the supplies.

You do NOT need ANY FACTORIES to create the supplies, you always have it but you need to have a clear path to your units.

What happens if you do not have supplies for the units?

If somehow your path to the frontline units or any other units is blocked by enemies or something else (like not having a dock to an island) your units will decrease its speed, attack and defense, and the provinces that are blocked will slowly lose morale.

Why should this be implemented?

This should be implemented to the game to allow players to encircle their enemies and make their units weaker and cut of the supplies of an enemy. It also gives players another reason to bomb docks.

actually it would reinforce the use of gold to boost moral/ condition... something that I suppose due to the game dynamics that is not usually where gold is used. And also, it's rewarding more clever players for their ideas.

i think this could be simplified to just oil and food, oil for mechanized and food for infantry.

It could be quite simple, a line could be added under the HP line showing how much oil/fuel left. When a unit runs out it stops moving in case of mechanised. In case of infantry the unit would slowly lose HP. There would a refuel or resupply button, you press and decide how much you want to resupply, eg 100 per cent oil for a med tank brigade could be 700 oil. The appropriate total would be reducted from your stocks and after a short while maybe 1 hr the units can resume moving.

This would be realistic strategic and slow down wars

lol grand, yeah, that sounds really simplified! ;)

Sorry I'm not on pc right now I'll write it proper later. Trust me it's pretty simple and there are no supply lines but it would be cool. Plus it's a good idea, it will fix the fact that you can conquer the USSR if u get 1 LT behind the lines.
