Supply Lines
You should add a feature where if a player province is not connected to other provinces the troops in that encircled province begin to dye and starve because they get no supplies and to get supplies in there you must build a airport in that province to supply troops from air and same thing for navy if a province is encircled but it’s a coastal province and it has a harbor you can supply the troops.

They could do something called living off the land, like what Sherman did in Georgia during the Civil War. It would also make the game more complex

that would be a pretty good yet daunting move for the devs though,yet it is good,the devs could get alot of flak for making the game harder

I would say that this is already well reflected in the "neighbouring province" morale factor. A province that is surrounded by enemy provinces will have a strong negative morale trend which reflect the fact that the supply lines are broken already.
