The problem with carriers is that the aircraft for most of the month can not support effective ground force so i suggest to make it so tactical bombers lvl 2 on can be put on carriers because like i said the carriers can not be effective without planes that can do real damage on ground forces more early on

It would be interesting.

Why have an aircraft carrier that doesn't support aircraft that can target ground units? Kind of defeats the purpose...

Aircraft carriers have a level of capacity. If you want to have your aircraft carriers more capacity, you level up.

CV are made for naval warfare to project air power into the waves. Naval bombardment is the job of BB and CC.

CV has two jobs: Power projection and air support. Upgrading your CV will allow you to do both.

I think tactical bombers are a little too big to sit on a carrier.

Back in the Doolittle Raids, they used strat bombers and tactical bombers to bombard Japanese cities. Although they weren't very successful, it was still possible to place bombers on CV's. Definitely agree they should add that feature.

Anyway, Tac Bombers are Carrier based at lvl 4...unless this has be mentioned and then just ignore me.

EDIT: There is indeed a very small mention of it in the research tree, thank you for pointing that out. But I still think Tac Bombers should be carrier-based from lvl 2 or lvl 3.

It means "Carrier Vessel" if I'm not mistaken.

It was a designation for Cruiser Voler, since carrier's used to come under the Cruiser designations in terms of a support role, and from the french word 'to fly' or Voler due to it's complement of 'heavier-than -air' vehicles, hence the CV it now is.

cment: Tactical Bombers need to be level 4 to land on carriers. Carrier level does not matter for that (besides for how many aircraft they can carry)

I transported a NAV bomber over to Morocco in my game and it works for bombing, not quite as well as a TAC, but it does the job.
