Tank transporter Unit
Simply a unit that transports Medium and heavy tanks efficiently at higher speeds, since their speed is not impressive even on their best terrain ( plain) this unit will be useful as getting your tanks more quickly to the front is always a good thing.
It was used by the American (M19), British ( Antar) , German ( Sd.kfz9) armies

Not really this is purely for land means of transport since tank transport by land was more common in the time frame

Maybe we could also put them on trains too if we had lvl 3 infra?

Rail is indeed fast to transport units, but only infantry and field guns can benefit from it.
We also have infrastructure which is actually the same thing as rail to increase speed of all land units.

Alright, but tanks can, do and did benefit from trains, even today.

I agree with Butter here, trains are the best and most historically viable option for transport. The glorious Tiger II tanks needed trains to move from front to front due to their slow speed.Butter Ball Bill wrote:

By train do you mean buidling a train unit or getting infra 3 upgrade in that province?
A unit that increases the speed of medium and heavy tanks when grouped with the tank division is much better than an infra 3/ train upgrade to do so in my opinion,
It is not always possible that you will have many provinces with infra lvl 3 all the way to the front during mid game stage ,let alone the possibility of having multiple fronts. The use of transporter unit was more prevelant ( by the armies I mentioned in OP) and would be much easier to implement here IMO , not that Iam against trains , I think we all agree that tanks getting to the front faster would be a good addition

I like the idea of a train unit, maybe an armoured train with a little bit of defensive capabilities?
