You might get them, but maybe they are just hard to get since they are secret government tests or something. None of us have used spies extensively but none of us will know until we have.
Mess with the Bill, you get the scorn!
Hi again;
I'm spying a player and I was expecting that I would know how he is evolving his tech tree, but there are only economical, military and provinces buildings informations.
It's imperative to add tech infos to international spies reports
Thanks

Really? So I will wait for the reports.Butter Ball Bill wrote:

Okay, that's good. We do not know their full capabilities.
That's a good thought, having knowledge of what your opponents is researching would be good. But, may I ask, would it be too ''overpowered'' to you be able to ''steal'' a tech from your opponents? I don't know, there's many strategies game were you can do this, I think it would maybe make espionage a ''little'' more used. =P
Nah, It is... To research anything you need to waste your resources, or Spy would be very OP.Fenrir Ragnarok wrote:

haha .. "a "little" more used." - then you never played versus some good player? I am using spys from day 1 cause they provide me informations about a lot things I am glad to know.
Just a bit poor its so easy to see the level of the units in the army overview of an enemy unit. Would be great when its just possible when a spy got it from the enemys tech tree.
Espionage for Research is still one of our To-Do's
We will certainly add an information spy (telling you which researches a country has).
Maybe there will also be sabotage/stealing reseach, but we have not specified the details there.
Since stealing tech would be really unfair, maybe you just steal a certain amount which cuts down your research time.
We have extended the normal info spy in a way that it now can tell you what a player is currently researching.
We do not give you all his finished researches though so you have to keep spying to keep track.
Maybe, that's a good way to prevent nations from getting too overpowered from researching is own techs and stealing others... I don't know, it's that's there's some games which have this feature, I would like to know if there could be a way to implement this into the game. Still, without making it too OP. :vButter Ball Bill wrote:

Even HOI3 hasn't this feature.Fenrir Ragnarok wrote:

But as Butter said, a way to spy anyone and get some info to make some research faster would be nice.
What some other games do is to make research easier based on how many already discovered that research. Probably if 80% of nations discovered Heavy tanks it may make sense that other nations can have a discount on research it.
So discovering something before the other gives you an advantage, but be the last allows you to save some resources.
Not sure if this is good or bad, just saying a possible approach
Interesting.
Sounds nice.
