That's it....I'm done

You cannot run a business thinking about profitability alone. Profitability is not just about money in vs money out. It's inextricably tied to customer experience. If your backdoor is wider than the front because your customers are having a bad experience, especially customers who are in your target audience, then you will not be profitable over time.

I posted last week here in the forums and in the Discord about some frustrations with gold spending. Before you go into the normal "they pay for the game" and "they're not skilled so all you have to do is out skill them," I purchased at least $20 in gold last week so you're welcome for supporting the development of this game. Some of that was in an effort to counter some players relying heavily on gold.

So with that out of the way, I will once again reiterate that this game has a gaping hole in terms of playability. The whole foundation of this game is based upon strategy. I'm level 95, K/D Ratio of 1.4, three solo victories, and six coalition victories. In terms of military skill, I'm ranked in the mid 15,000 on this site.

So tell me, how can the developers of a *strategy* game tell me that a person with a K/D ratio of .44 and little to no industry set up in their core cities can be allowed to send an endless stream of low level units to my territory? Yes, they lacked skill. They literally followed one of my anti-air units around in circles. Yes, I easily defeated their units. But, over time, I cannot compete with that unless I too spend large amounts of gold. Even my level 3 and 4 industries cannot match the inflow of gold in the hands of an unskilled player.

This is now the *third* game in one week where gameplay and strategy have been thrown out the window due to players who rely on gold. I can no longer in good faith invest my time and money into a game that allows such wild swings in strategic game play where someone with little experience can wreck the gameplay and statistics of players who have invested many hours into learning the physics of the game.

I submitted tickets to Bytro, posted in this forum, and Discord, and the general response from Bytro seems to be that they like this feature because it pays the bills.

Thank you for the many hours of fun I've had on this site. It's an amazing game with a lot of promise. I'm sure I will check in from time to time to see how the development is going. I'd gladly pay for gold-limited games, but until then, I'm out.
