The AI Cheats

Here is the scenario. The UK is run by an AI. I'm getting ready to invade Jolly Old England because I watched, from France, the island clear out as it went to attack South America. I dutifully air patrolled the entire island. There are a few rockets here and there and a lone AA in Portsmouth. I recall the planes to gather attack forces and begin the invasion. Two hours later I check back in and the are 7, count them 7 units in Portsmouth!? In two hours. Out of thin air. So beware, the AI will create miraculous units when you invade. I wonder what other rules the AI does not have to follow?

@Dex4000 Air patrol is probably a way to gain great intel. but sometimes you can miss out something. Keep in mind that all AI in the game have the exact same resource as us and their production works the same. There might also be a chance that some units were out at sea and sent back?

Are you telling me a bomber or fighter parked over a city in Patrol mode could miss 7 units? And no they didn't come ashore. I had subs parked there. The city was Lvl 5 fortified. Will Forts hide troops?

@Dex4000 Yes they will unfortunately

Well, i guess thats a thing then..

Well you learn something new. I just know that 2 days ago

I have managed to mistake numbers before myself. 1 and 7 look a lot alike depending on the background. 3 and 8 of course. 5 and 6 also are easy to mistake for one another.

I have seen AI capture an empty province (no IC and no Barracks) from me with 1 unit and when I go to retake, somehow there are 2.

LOL ... Must be Elite AI magic ... 8)

Yes, as anew player, i am also seeing lost of "magic" before my eyes going on with AI. Some people call that cheating., or is it scamming in this case? Either way, sad to see a nice game with these type of issues. I think they probably lose players faster than they gain them.

Maybe the AI moved units to Portsmouth. The AI is unable to spend gold.

ai can do everything a player can do and a player can do everything a ai can do

Well here are the main differences between players and AI for me :

Players cannot :

See all units ( AI can and will send troops through any holes in your border )

Automate production and research without High Command

Stay up and react to things for 24 hours a day

AI cannot :

Trade with players

Help or coordinate other AI

Have teammates in general

Influence players diplomatically, manipulate or mislead them

Learn from its "mistakes" ( to some extent )

Plan and budget resources effectively, eliminating needless buildings or research

In most cases, they rarely produce cruisers, battleships, nuclear rockets, commandos, and paratroopers

Use spies or counter intelligence

Use gold

I'm not going to brag about my K/D against AI anymore, but once you figure out how AI works, you will always beat it. In fact, the question becomes more like "how fast can you beat them" or "is it worth it to fight the AI" ?

We're always looking for top players to play together and learn from. Apply to Tokugawa Bakufu ( alliance code : KIOTO ) if you are a like-minded individual and wish to improve your game.
Whenever feasible, one should always try to eat the rude.

FUN FACT

a ai can join coalitions

how it works is this

1.player applies for coalition

2.player goes inactive

3. player (inactive) is accepted

4. ai is in coalition :D

idk how is that useful its just fun

yeah i once was in a coalition with 2 ai :)

i dont think ai has special advantages except for 24 hour production

its just they are suprisingly strong after a month of spamming units
