Although this idea of "perfect country" in call of war is disputed... Several players pick up only few of chosen countries such as One of the Axis Powers ,the allies and the cominterm... Although no country is perfect and all have flaws and and weaknesses today i will let u people know about some pros and cons of the country Germany which I think is the best..
Germany: One of the strongest nation of this map and has the particularly best army and air force.......Lacks a good navy but naval shipyards such as whilhelmshaven and hamburg can always be used to build batlleships early in the game.
has the best infrastructure but has a poor oil economy with much panzers to sustain poland and other small countries on day one easily. The oil economy is rather hindrance to the nation rather than protection or industrial problems.
It has many fronts and can be easily defeated by allied powers if they work together. I am very comfortable in Germany myself and it has been a reliable country for me to win solo... Just build the economy and allies.....
Suggestions to use the country: 1 take over europe with britain and soviets
2 build up industrial and high level infra on oil and wheat production
3 first target should be poland
4 do not take out troops from siegfried line
5build up a good navy and med tanks in first 5 days
6 commandoes are the best units
7 sometimes betrayel is the key
8 Italian oilfields are a gooda haul
9 take care of AI later
10 Just go with the flow.....

Ok, hear my opinion.
1) Its good advice, so ok.
2)Ok,good.
3) Poland yes, good but you can only invade them with the divisions you start with on polish border as you need to defend other borders.
4)Yes and also get the railroad gun and plant it there.
5) Good. Submarines only should be your motto. Submarines have the advantage of popping out of nowhere and destroying even the best of the battleships. Only two or three submarines per day should be enough. By day 10 three stacks of five subs each is enough.
6)NO! Commandos are not the best units. There stats might be good on paper but not on the field. You need ateast 4-5 commandos coupled with an armored car or light tank to be effective.
7)Yes, that's ok.
8 ) Be FRIENDS with Italy so that France will have to divert troops to protect that area.
9) Give Right Of Way to AI and then wait for them to return the favor. Then invade them.

Germany is obviously the best. It does start with a bit of negative oil, but that can easily be fixed by building infrastructure/industries in your oil province. France starts with -300 oil. Yes, you can disable the barracks but that will still leave you with -200. If you build any more tanks, you will have an oil problem. In short, you can’t really produce anything. UK is okay... but Germany can easily defeat you in a battle unless you destroy his navy. If you do manage to destroy his navy though you’ll have a hard time expanding into Germany as you have few land units and Germany has a LOT. Japan’s Navy is too big, resulting in oil problems. You also have a terrible economy. You don’t have enough of ANY resource. You can only produce a few units in a few cities, leaving a lot of industies to waste. After a while though, you’re gonna have no troops left with your navy draining all of your resources, and then you can’t really do anything. USA has extremely few troops at the start. You have to produce for a few weeks to become powerful. It’s likely that Canada and Mexico will go AFK, and even if they don’t you can defeat them. After that, things become very boring. You can easy continue to drive through the America’s or go to Eurasia. If you go to Eurasia, you will have a hard time supplying enough troops and other countries will have an advantage. Countries like U.K. and Japan can easily destroy your convoys. If you drive through the America’s, it’s just super boring. You defeat AI after AI and chances are, someone in Europe will conquer Eurasia and win the game. Hope this helps.
