They land too quickly, I can’t move subs to kill them on sea in time. And they’re deployable on day 2, at which time most units are unarmoured

they murder infantry, which is just BS, because its just a tank, but with some flotation gear. it should have worse attack and defense because of this.

That's exactly what they good for only.Quick surprise attacks on unarmoured units and light armour early in the game but once you have artillery and lvl 3/4 heavy armour on the scene you will need a few cards to deploy or have lvl 3 amphibious tanks.I personally wouldn't waste my amphibious tanks in heavy armour battles.
