Time Is Everything

I suggest the game admins create an option in the game that can speed up or slow down the actual time to play the game. If the player that is setting up a round could set the pace for the game then the people that choose to join the round would know they are getting a fast or slow game. As it is the game takes actual days to accomplish things that I imagine a lot of gamer's would rather see take hours. A good example of this is how it takes one hour between attacks in the standard round but if the game was set to a faster mode then maybe it would be one half hour instead. This speed translated to all the aspects of the game would still mean some games would take as much as three or four weeks. Players would feel like they were able to accomplish more in their time on the game each day as well.

i prefer the way it is

something I've been thinking about also... games could also be set slower (become more like corrsepondence chess even). Let the players decide the speed!

I suppose it would be a programming nightmare if this wasn't implemented right from the start though...

I seem to remember something about clock speed as a setting for software in other games I've played. By pushing up the clock speed setting everything accelerates. However, I am not a programmer so do not know how easy or hard that would be.

Great idea! This needs to be added into the game. The other types of games like this I quit because they take hours and within that hour i am already bored and quit the game. There should be the option to slow down or speed up games, or even possibly 5 minute march times between provinces, (again just as an option) and 2 minute build times for everything and faster production. Just an idea, it get really extensive even only after 50 days a real game could take more than 150 days! This needs to be an option in some way.
