Time of 'no fighting' as an option, for example between midnight and 8am

It would be helpful option if there would be inactive hours, like midnight till 8 am, when You cannot start new attacks. It would be applicable for all players and computer bots.

In some web browser games there are such inactive times, so people can easily and calmly sleep then, regenerate.

This would be an option to choose by host of the map/game. Best if he can choose hours for it. Maximum of 16 hours break during day. With start earliest at 18:00 and end latest at 12:00. Most people would choose settings with time to sleep probably.

TIME ZONES

This wouldn't work for example I was at war with someone from the middle east and I'm from NA he was complaining about me attacking him while he was asleep. Which yes worked in my advantage but what you are suggesting would affect the game dramatically because during that time someone could easily spam militia at that time

I play in Polish version and most of players are in a range of one time zone or +/- 1 hour, so it would work well.

I don't say that everyone should use it or play games with such settings, but for some, who like to sleep or are at work most of days it would work.

It's true that building up troops would change game to more static, less of blitzkrieg.

Another option is just to pause the whole game in such hours, so nothing gets moved/produced/attacked

It'd have to be a game option... Not everybody would want that. I'd like to have it, but not everyone would want to have that enabled.

Kind of defeats the purpose of this game entirely / And like there has'nt already been enough fanciful

changes to the game already.

Being REAL time strategy, means the game keeps going, while you are away.

No matter what, this would be the developers wasting their time (which would be to better use doing anything) on making the game less fair for player B. Midnight to 8 AM, your time zone, might be when it is good for you, but that would absolutely screw over the other player, whom might play only during those hours.

Free Time looks good on me

Than You just don't join games if the 'pause hours' don't match Your preferences

Best I can say, is good luck with that.

The reality check, is that it is a terrible idea.

Free Time looks good on me

If it's terrible, why it's in many web browser multi-day games and it works there perfectly?

It enables people having LIFE to play in game, instead of no-lifes playing it 24/7 :)

Seroslav its just not what the majority = the greater number of players

want for this game.

Currently this game still stands as one of the best formats to what

is truly an rts=real time strategy and with that come many options

ect Game creation the way you the creator want to set up.

Roleplay ect the stipulations you the creator set down as conditions

and want players to agree to.

Rather than a midnight to 8am no attacks suggestion without

testing your theory on one of the above.

Maybe yes, maybe no. You haven't made a poll among big number of players to know that.

And secondly, attracting new players who don't play CoW, cause they got beaten many times when been away from computer, it's possibility, with such feature. Not everyone is able to stay long hours in-game, logged in.

Would be an extremely valuable new feature, but of course only as an option at game creation and only as full pause (to just disable attack orders wouldn't work in the least - everything in the game must be frozen during these hours).
