troop healing

Ive had to go help members in my coalition and unfortunately My troops don't heal unless on my territories. you should make it so that i can at least heal at a 50% rate of normal healing when im in an allies territory

It also happens in COW games

Yup. Even though there is no correlation at all between what I want and what actually happens.

Not to mention the competition between various parts of the German military which pulled resources away from each other. Chronic problem.
The US had it's own rivalry between the army and navy. It went beyond resource sharing. At the beginning of the war, army units often lacked the basic ability to communicate with naval ships and planes at the tactical level.

Regarding sending replacement troops to units with depleted ranks, this always made more sense logistically than standing up new units. When you stand up a new unit, you need to find experienced troops to serve as the core of the unit. New units need experienced NCOs, and officers to serve at lower command levels and on the command staff. They need to come from somewhere and be transferred in, you can't just assign new units fresh troops from bootcamps and service academies to serve at senior levels.

Germany’s was especially bad, ironically thanks to Hitler. Since he held all the power and final say in anything, pleasing him and getting him on your side was all that mattered. The lufftewaffe, Wehrmacht, Kriegsmarine and SS leaders would try to convince him that the other would try to betray them and that they were loyal and should be trusted. Often the SS was given priority since it was directly loyal to Hitler and answered him only while other factions had chains of command with generals, admirals etc.

Similar thing with Japan as well, funny enough. The IJA and IJN despised each other and constantly squabbled over plans and resources as well. For example the IJN supported a southern plan that involved attacking South East Asia and the U.S., while the IJA wanted to go north and attack the USSR. You can guess which faction won out.

Combine Units

Every province has man power attached to it. Units could heal based on the amount of man power points are in the province they are in. Stacks of units in 1 province would divide the Mp points by the units in the province

That's actually a good idea

Foo!! You should need a new building for that... maybe a hospital?

*Looks for cover

Can't you already heal your unit in a city?
My father once said this: β€œIf you don’t know anything, don’t assume you know and don’t say anything you don’t know is true”
I always got annoyed when he said that, but to be honest he’s kinda right if you think about it
Have a good day!

Yes, but I think the idea is to heal more in a hospital

Looking for improvement.

Hey guys how about we stick to a simple version where troops heal at a potentially reduced rate in allies territories im pretty sure we all agree that it needs to be added to the game. There are numerous ways to go about it if they do add it then it will be like everything else that is implemented and require some changes at some point but i think the basic intent is still there let us heal in allies territories.

Make the post go viral to catch the attention of the game developers.

they should add a combine function that would take 2 units at 50% and combine them into1 unit at 100%

One thing I suggested a year ago to update industries/recruiting centers and propaganda offices as they are being built and not wait for the change of day. it seemed it worked for several months and now it is not doing it.

I think this stuff is falling thru the cracks. Why should we have to wait 23 hours for an update if it finished 1 hour after the day change.

I think your change should go thru also or why even have coalitions. The axis did have it to some degree with Germany/Italy until Italy gave up but they still did maintenance.

I just started a two new games and my 420K gold did not follow me to the new games and I am shaking my head. Most I won and some I bought to get it that high.

just add a unit called "mechanic" that repairs tanks for a fee(tanks can't move) and another called "medic" that heals infantry and done, the hospital and factory system is crazily hard to achieve, go for the simplest solution

Why cant you heal units in the same way you build them? Just ratio the factors accordingly. Also perhaps you can only heal back at base, which might vary according to the scenario. So a warship could do emergency heal up to say 25% of its value but anything above that has to go to one of your own or an ally's navy yard.

This is similar to what I've been suggesting all along.

My theory is it comes down to $. Players spend gold to heal units and players spend money to buy gold. Therefore, Bytro doesn't want to disrupt that money train.

I could be wrong. I get paranoid sometimes.

I smell hospitals...

Python you dont need hospitals. Just go back to a base. So depending on unit type a province with barracks, airfield, port etc. Could be yours or an ally.

I'm not disagreeing with the suggestion. Nor agreeing with it. Just stating that this suggestion has been up in the air for years, and based on the current trends of what Bytro is focusing on, they prolly won't do much to it for a loooong time

Thanks mate. Yeah introducing hospitals is not IMHO necessary as returning to a base does the same thing.

you know with the bugs going on now that they are chasing that even if they do go ahead and try it it will be years.
