Creating super "doom stacks" is self-defeating, Ben, when the doom-stack player encounters someone who (a) understands SBDE, (b) employs run-circles-around-your-opponent tactics with artillery, rockets and other stand-off/ranged weapons, and/or (c) possesses nuclear rockets.beastyben7 wrote:
Limit troop stacking up to maybe 10 or so, otherwise players can stack all of their units in one spot and create and unstoppable mass of troops that can tear through all defenses.
One nuclear rocket will typically kill 20 to 25 enemy ground units. One nuclear rocket will kill substantially more than 25 enemy ground units if there are several stacks within the blast radius, or the enemy units are in a state of embarkation, disembarkation, or sea-going convoy.
With proper tactics, doom stacks are just big, slow-moving targets.
