i have another suggestion: green for your own troops, red for enemys, blue for allied troops, orange for troops allied with your enemy, and grey for neutral troops.
or original color with some details painted in abovementioned color.
I am playing Germany in a game. I noticed that the soldiers uniform color was Olive Drab, not grey or black. Can we at least make them gray.

Ooh, I like this idea!! We use a similar pattern for our Blue Force Trackers in the military, except it is Blue for you and allies, green for neutral and red for enemy. I think we have purple for suspected enemy and yellow for suspected neutral.cobayashimaru wrote:

Putting this one on my wish list now,
Orange uniforms? Are you sure? You can use Photoshop to portray how it will look like? Red uniforms also sounds strange - I'm not against your idea, but I do not want to fight each time with her majesty's guards
This might solve (partially) color blind problems. Maybe.
I don't like this idea. I have to agree with Sandevot, just on this one (we disagree often, Sandevot and I). Orange and red uniforms will look weird. Anyway, enemy troops are surrounded by red and your ally's troops in green.cobayashimaru wrote:

I agree with Akulla. Germany should be grey, Brits should be yellowish (and note the helmet), America like it is, and Russia should be brown (note the field cap and helmet). France should be like America, Italy and Spain like Germany and the rest is the devs decision. On the 22 player map, British ex-colonies (e.g. Egypt) should have the same uniform as the British.Akulla3D wrote:

Pablo, Brits are khaki, not yellow.
Well, depends how you wanna see it. Looks like beige to me. Not yellow, that's true.
The British have had Khaki uniforms for ages, since the Boer war I think.
Naaah, Boer war was still 'redcoats'.
Oh. Well, I guess they learned that(thanks to Boer snipers) red tends to stand out in everywhere except two place: a pool of blood and the flames of Hell.
You said it. They took very heavy casualties, even though the Boers were less. Lemme ask you a question, Bill. If you had to say which was your favourite country apart from the country you were born in, which one would it be?
Japan. How about you?
U.S.A or UK
USA because of the superpower it is now, because of the role it's had in history, because in a way it protects us from ISIS, and because of Obama.
UK because of the role it played in WW2 and because of Churchill (my new avatar is Churchill with a 1920s Thompson, take a closer look).
I like Japan because of its crazy inventions, culture and games. It has some pretty cool wildlife. They had/have the worlds smallest wolf and it has been extinct twice. We are not so sure how many there are nowadays.
I'm not really interested in Mother Nature. I'm more like history.
Mother Nature is history and history is Mother Nature.
Good point.
may be worth making the separation is not in color, but in military rank? such as enemy troops are in the form Private. Allied forces have the form of Sergeant. Your troops wearing uniforms Major. Different armies uniforms of different ranks highly visually different.
I think it's better having different uniform for different countries. However, your suggestion could be used for the different levels of infantry. The higher the research level, the higher the rank of the uniform.Sandevot wrote:
