I think that if a unit is being attacked, for example, a submarine squadron is being shelled by a battleship, the submarine squadron just sits and waits, letting itself be destroyed. I think that the unit (in this case the submarine) should either retreat from the attacking ship, or attack it back. To counter this, a non-premium free command would be that the attacking unit would pursue the fleeing one

I agree, units wont just "sit in ducks" while been bombard by arttillery, we should have some order that say "if bombed, flee"
Yes, although maybe they shouldn't flee if they are guarding a key citybravosierrabr wrote:

I feel like I would be suffering many more problems with units retreating from key locations on their own.
I need my guys to hold the line, not retreat when they feel like it's dangerous.
Yes, it's something more complex. But naval units at least should have something like this... in the army we brief some situations and the actions that we should take, if we had something like this that we can apply in our units will be good. I'm not talking about the premium account feature, it's something that we can apply for all units under artillery fire. Even the AI attack someone bombarding them, we could have some AI to help us too.Zaktty wrote:

That is what happens when you are not playing the game like sleeping or eating or going to work.
To me it is just part of the game.
One thing you can do is keep it moving in circles or back and forth in a line add target button to select.
again it is part of the game. If you only have say 12 sections of land left where would it go if you kept losing more and?bravosierrabr wrote:

Also this encourages individuals to put less time in the game and only play every few days which if you were in a coalition it is frustrating to your pals not having you show up. Put more time in the game and plan better by either layering your defenses and or stacking your units with more various army units or having your bombers circling the area. Lots of options

Good points to and why I would not like the option for me anyway. Like I said a good defense and offense layering and preplanning is essential.JTRoulin wrote:

Can't you just order them to retreat/engage?
Retreat? Where to?bravosierrabr wrote:

Yes I know it's hard to create such mechanics. But for example a submarine under attack by a stronger fleet, he could move to some other position or respond by attacking the enemy (goin towards).Donk2.0 wrote:

I agree we should put time in games, but some situations are inevitable.
