Good suggestions here!
I've found that Call of War is an excellent game for learning geography as well, because you get used to just remembering what countries are what; who says video games can't be fun AND educational?
I was wondering if anyone had suggested the following:
For those players who have multiple games ongoing simultaneously, it would be most helpful to have a notes section for each game instead of just the game name and number. For example, in one game I'm Libya, I would like to be able to pin "I'm Libya" in the game box on the games tab so that I can remember which games are which. They get confusing sometimes and that simple note would make selecting the correct game that much easier than memorizing all of the game numbers, or which order they are in, or which day it is on. Could this be done easily, or would it require extensive changes to the sites coding and become a huge memory hog? Just a suggestion.
Also, as I've seen in another thread, a game specific "alliance" (separate from general alliances) page similar to the province tab would be most helpful. In a 22 player map (and obviously smaller ones) this is not difficult to navigate/deduce. However, these new 100 player maps are most difficult to remember which countries are in close proximity, who they are allied with, etc. etc. I mean, sure, getting to know the country and province names will take time, but I really suck at Geography (I'm sure I speak for more than just myself here). In the least one should be able to filter by continent (Africa/Europe/Asia etc.), that way you are only looking at 10-20 instead of all 100 and trying to remember the name of all the "countries".
Just some suggestions, I'm sure I can't be the only one thinking these things. In fact, with my luck, you guys are probably already aware and/or already fixing these issues. In any case, excellent job with the 100 player map, aside from some minor bugs, well done. It should be interesting to see how these maps unfold over time, I'm quite excited, actually.
Cheers!
