We need to choose where planes will land after mission

So... If you use an air force you would probably know that situation: you need to move your planes from one airbase to another but at the same time you need to send them on the mission. At the moment when you send planes on a mission, you can not choose where they will land after it. planes go on the mission and then land on the same airbase from which they started. so if I need to attack and move to another airbase I have to send them in the mission, then when they return and refill I have to move them to the next airbase... such meaningless waste of time... Why can't I just send my plane to another airbase (which is in the "red triangle flight zone ofc) instead of making it return to the original airbase and then send it to a new one? JUST WHY?
