What's so Elite About the Elite AI ?

I've been playing a lot of Elite AI games due to the fact that there is still someone left to fight after all the human players bail or go inactive. Now I know what you are thinking, why would I want to waste the time killing the AI right? Well if you don't go out full throttle and attack right way and let the Elite AI build up for a while, they can give you an entertaining fight although they are still very predictable.

I think they can be more aggressive though as 90% of the Elite province owners will not start a fight with anyone until they are provoked. They will sit there and turtle and build an army they can't sustain until they basically starve themselves out, their morale drops and then out of desperation might start a fight. How is this considered Elite exactly? Elite what? Elite Idiots maybe?

This is not what I would consider by Bytro's words to be "Aggressive", more like depressive. Can't we mix it up a bit and have some of the AI's have crazy leaders that just go rouge and do stupid things, sort of like what started the dam war in the first place? Can we not make some of the AI truly aggressive and actually conduct surprise attacks and be more like the behaviors of the typical human player?

It's not like the Elite AI games are free, we are actually paying to play them so how about some improvements ?
