What were the critics thinking giving this game 100/100?

Like, seriously, the first sentence of the first review on Metacritic reads "It’s buggy and flawed..." still a perfect score, because all of the shortcomings will be ironed out in the future, right? Were they reviewing the actual game, or the game's potential to become something better than it really is?

Basically: this meal tastes like shit, but it could be better when hot, idk 10/10

The game could be better, a lot of it is finding a way for newer players to learn the intricacies of the game in a more fun and enjoyable way. Once you learn them, it is a pretty special game in the world of free to play games. Still, it could be better, but my wife is thankful its not, which makes it the perfect game to play on and off forever.

I am enthused that perhaps the classic version will carry on the way it is without change forever so on and off players will have something to share multigenerationally, like chess.
