Correct, but this is an alternate-history exercise for an alternate-history game. They also didn't have nuclear missiles until the 1950's, but that doesn't mean we can't have them in-game!Pablo22510 wrote:
No, mate, it never happened.
Which Unit Would Make the Best Impact to COW?
Which Do you feel would make the biggest Positive impact on the gameplay of Call of War? Each Has its own certain area of importance however sometimes certain things can just be overkill.

Game is about WW2 and early Cold War, meaning nuke rockets, nuke subs and nuke BBs really did happen. But paras on a CV? Not even nowadays...
In agreement with Pablo here. Since is an alternate history, nuclear research can happen a lot quicker than in real life, in the case of nukes, but if something is logistically impossible then no amount of time can fix that

How is it logistically impossible?aDudeWhoDoesThings wrote:

You can't have a full division of Paras on a CV.
well you rather can, a division has what 3 regiements ish
thats about 6k
think Im a little off there, and it varys from country to country
guess you cant really fit that on a carrier
but in the game, a unit of infantry has 1500 people in it
well at least be able to parachute commandos, 875 troops per unit, that can fit on a carrier

You are a little off. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Division_(military) "Usually consists of between 10,000 and 20,000 men. That's more than the crew of the carrier itself.oceanhawk wrote:

And yes, that unit with 1500 men in it is a regiment. But still way too big for a carrier. 875 is probably maximum a carrier can carry, but it never happened, never does, and never will. So no way.
i just wish we could have all of those units
well if they can hold 1 commando unit, I think I might settle

and also 1 para unit...

No way, no way.
well I guess we should vote?
Allow commandos and paratroopers ablity to parachute from CV, with limited amount of troops
or
No not at all
I will make a vote thread and we can decide, just to see what is more popular

They need them all! I want shore batteries.

I say Paratroop would change the game forever. No longer would lines be safe.
