Yes, planes were relatively important in WW2 and turned the war in the favor of who had them, but AA also shot down huge numbers of planes that bombed cities.
WHY are the aircrafts useless
As we all know, in the historical WW2, bombers played key roles all over the world. From the pacific-Asia to Europe, they damaged so many troops and constructions. The medium bombers' attack range was about 1000km.However, Bytro decreased the attack range of tactical and attack bombers to 500km. Moreover, the planes are delicate when facing AA stacks.
Man, what can I say?

I agree but I believe that this has been done for balancing reasons. Many of the newbros fail to adjust to aircraft attacks. If it wasn't for the basic AA that comes at the start players would be wiped off the map constantly.
To me I wish the support aircraft could have more range to they could actually stick with the bombers. It would be cool if there was a way to pair up bombers with fighter wings.
It would also be nice if we could crank out planes faster. The research and the high cost really keeps most people from using them.
What? Are you complaining about planes? Don't you know everybody uses them all the time as much as they can? If they were underperforming then they would be the most popular unit for the last 6 years i've been here. This game needs to adjust the costs and effectivity so the troop compositions looked more like in real WW2. 100 planes and 5 light tanks, no thanks. Nerf planes more.
Unsure what youβre talking about - Iβd guess just inexperienced or donβt know how to use them. I win basically 100% of my games now using airforce and I donβt research anything from any other branch except armoured cars and infantry. Planes are so OP itβs mad because you can kill unlimited stacks with them and not lose a single plane if you know how to use them properly.
I think airplanes are good. Sure, you can increase the range, but let's be honest, if you've captured something, you can just build an airfield there. And it also has to be a bit balanced with the ground forces

Plan your air grid as you advance and expand your borders. You have to think about it ahead of time. Minimize travel times by cutting down on refueling stops. It's one of the more strategic aspects of the game.
You also should use them in combination with other units.
For example, send your ground units, engage the battle and, ONLY THEN, send your planes patrolling.
Guaranteed massacre.
I use interceptor stacks to scout enemy cities during an invasion. If I see something that needs to be destroyed thatβs why I keep my bombers nearby.
How do you guys get to use planes early game?
getting 4 tacs on day one is not easy and doesnt look that powerful to me.
Planes are not early game units. That's what infantry is for.
Also, they're not meant to engage large stacks. They're very good at clearing a large areas of single runners, reinforcements, and small defense stacks though.

Yep exactly. Then if you upgrade airfields at the front you can launch them much faster. I am sure I am preaching to the choir though.z00mz00m wrote:
