Yes it is a real problem on mobile however knowing which nations are most popular can help you avoid them so that way mor AI countries don’t attack you

World's most popular nations! Really?
Allright new day! Go to stats to see mightiest armies, cause I like to feel powerful ( ok to size up people ). Start scrolling and bam! Now its the world's most popular nations. Never get to finish scrolling. Has a popular nation ever won?
So ok now try to go to bottom of news. Incredible bandwidth scrolling down and reloading. Then bam! Someone loses a battleship and I'm right at the top again. Why must we always flick through two stats everyday. Why don't we have all stats, everyday, and just click on the ones we are interested in?

The popularity contest is of no significance if you are strong enough. Kill 'em all,
But you are right, the newspaper is annoying and has been that for years. I think I read long ago, that it is on Bytros' todo-list, but I'm sure it is far down on it. And it should be, as the newspaper is a nice-to-have while bugs in the UI is fixes that are absolutely needed.

Agreed one of my real play complaints is how the stats and popular hated cycle through on paper. It should e its own tan like, allies, enemies and diplomacy newspaper tabs

I wish you could get all of the stars like strongest military power, economy, etc. In one tab. It could be like daily reports or something
