I would suggest a map where the technology stays true to WW2 history. No nukes on the eastern front or rockets that kill entire stacks of units. A lot of players want to play WW2 games without the 1950s and 1960s upgrades.
The response of "play with the existing maps" and "agree not to upgrade" is an automatic fail as no one will agree to do that once in game. It'd be much easier to just have a map that is pure WW2.
I am not interested in responses regarding the game being good as is etc. No need to troll either. Simply making a suggestion as requested by the devs in a beta game. If you don't care for someone else's opinion then there is no need to comment an insult. Just don't post anything.
No need to respond about rockets and nukes being historically accurate either as that has been a weak argument. WW2 players came to this game looking for a game with a real WW2 feel. Tanks, Planes, Foot Troops and even Warships. Those units are awesome! Love the artillery and other units of that caliber as well. The added upgrades with nukes, nuclear ships and rockets take away from that feel.
There are plenty of other units to add other then futuristic units that still add to the flavor of the game. Coastal Batteries, Paratroopers, Engineers, higher end mobile artillery and AA such as the Wespe and Nashorn. Even Aircraft Carriers and the Carrier Planes they would carry would be great and welcome additions to a WW2 game. No need to go all Jetsons in the research tree to make it a fun game.

So, to sum it up, no one gives a damn and we want to keep our units.
Forumbots, roll out!

We learn.
Lol, *drives off in van.*
I probably shouldn't be responding to something as trivial as this, but I must confess, this is starting to prickle my nerves.Herr Hoffman wrote:
Again with the "you are a minority here" is completely inaccurate. Being as Bill has chased off anyone not agreeing with him this forum is all but dead. All that are left are his followers. I post for the occasional wander who is looking for the same and for the Devs to read.aDudeWhoDoesThings wrote:
*says saying something to justify rockets being historically accurate is a weak argument* *argues weakly for "ww2 only" units*Seriously though, Thousands upon thousands of rockets were fired in the Second World War, with thousands of casualties. You think it's 10 rockets being fired to kill an entire stack, but really it's probably about 50-100 (in proportions) per unit of them. Which is again, what happened in history, as much as you for some reason go against that. Hundreds per day were fired by Germany, like the above posters have said:
You are a minority here, shooting down literally everything you throw at you only works if you have some people to support you. Let other ideas feed into what you've said, try them out first, then see if people like it and then shift toward your side, a good start would be the RP scenario where you can get a following who agree that it's a great idea, or by simply increasing difficulty to obtain, and they will slowly die out anyway
Allow me to make a correction for you in regards to Bill. To be perfectly blunt, I don't particularly like the guy (No offense intended Bill). In fact, my first threads on this forum were things that were shot down by him quite rapidly. I still disagree with him on more than a few points, but I have not let that chase me off. I am still here.
On the other hand, most of his ideas and thoughts are based on logical reasoning and a desire to see this game improved, so I can tolerate his presence.
So far, I have had only been truly flustered by one person on these threads, and that is you. Most of the things you have posted have held little in the way of logical discussion; All I have seen from you is emotional and prideful bashing of those who disagree with you (which, from what I have seen, is most of the people here). Bill at least knows when to give someone points for giving a good point. My brother plays this game too, and has so far chosen not to participate on the forums, because he came on as a guest, read YOUR posts, and decided that he didn't want to deal with people like you here (Thanks for that by the way; he happened to read the post of yours that got banned; I didn't read it, and he still hasn't told me what that was about). So congratulations; YOU have managed to drive at least one person away from the forums.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got other things to worry about.
You and your brother shouldn't worry about other people on the forums. If y'all truly want to help with improvements in this game, say what you need to say without caring about what others say! And I mean that in a nice way, It shouldn't matter what anyone else says if you think you have a good point. If you believe in what you say, keep it going! As long as you are civil about it of course. The Hoff will not be trouble for you any longer. And Bill is easy to manage(Don't tell him I said thisJames Hylton wrote:

). Once you get to know him he's actually a pretty smart guy, you'll find a way to work around him haha. He also wants this game to be improved just like you do. The best thing for you to do is respect others opinions, and you will get respect back. I haven't really seen any of your posts get shot down recently, I think you are doing a great job so far. Keep it going, and never stop what you want to do because someone else tries to ruin it.
I know; I am aware of that, the problem in this case is with my brother. It's not that he's offended by stuff that others say, he just hears or reads stuff that urks him and decides he doesn't want to deal with it. In this case, it stinks for me, because he's the history wiz in the family (Seriously, the kid read a three-part series on the Civil War once; 10,000+ pages per book. He read it once, in the space of two weeks, and had it memorized after one read! And he's read even more about both World Wars!)Sir McSquiggles wrote:

For me, the only thing that drives me nuts is people who bash other people without good reason, and people who mock Germans from WWII. Everything else, I can deal with.
Since this thread discussion is now over, I am closing the thread.
