I thought soo! When i was spelling XingJiang, it would be wrong. I even looked it up.

Xingjiang is spelled incorrectly.
It should be xinjiang (no g at the end of xin) or sinkiang.
There is no spelling that I know of that is 'xingjiang'.

The proper name for it is xinjiang, or in mandarin ζ°η, which means new territory/borderland

The last Historic World War i was in it was spelled XingJiang.

It is indeed meant to be xinjiang.
As said above, the correct Mandarin for it is ζ°η. The first character, ζ°, is pronounced as xΔ«n. This shows that there is a mistake.
