Orks - Doctrines and Units

Faction Task/s:

  • Destroy enemy vehicles and aircraft to turn them into scraps

  • Defeat units by only using strong armies (that deal more than a certain amount of damage)

  • Destroy enemy buildings

Speed Waaagh Doctrine Path:

Buffs:

  • Units move faster in general

  • Units gain extra terrain bonuses in Open, Elevated and Difficult terrain

Playstyle:

Units of the Speed Waaagh Doctrine consist mainly of fast machines and airplanes. This Doctrine focuses on surprising enemies with speedy advances, so naturally units gain extra movement speed for fast attacks or swift retreats. Additionally, units gain better damage bonuses in terrain with little cover, making speeding through Open, Elevated or Difficult Terrain the preferred way of attack.

Big Waaagh! Doctrine Path:

Buffs:

  • Units deal more damage when they are combined with units of the same type in the same army (for each additional unit of the same type, the damage output of that unit type becomes stronger, up until combining 100 units of the same type)

  • Units have lower upkeep costs

Playstyle:

Units of the Big Waaagh! Doctrine consist mainly of infantry and frontline fighters. This Doctrine focuses on overwhelming the enemy with masses of bodies. Thus the damage of units in this Doctrine increases based on the amount of units unified in the same army. Additionally, units require less upkeep, making sustaining a big horde feasible.
