How do unit levels work?

To level up a unit, you must unlock its Unit Doctrine. A Unit Doctrine works like “research” in other Supremacy games. Once you unlock a new level for a unit, all units of that type in your match immediately benefit from it. You cannot remove or undo a Doctrine once it has been unlocked.
