Thread #1: Narrative Mode & Lore Disconnect

Subject: [Suggestion] Dedicated Asymmetric "War for Vigilus" Narrative Mode

Dear Dev Team and Community,

The current free-for-all sandbox model creates a huge lore disconnect (e.g., seeing Ultramarines ally with Nurgle daemons to fight Crimson Fists over Promethium breaks the grimdark immersion). Additionally, many current sub-faction missions clash with each other when playing with allies, hindering overall progress (such as the Adeptus Astartes objective focused on holding key control points).

We propose a Lore-Accurate Asymmetric Campaign Mode with fixed faction blocks (Loyalists vs. Forces of Destruction/Xenos) and team-based objectives:

  • High Monetization through Specialization: Defenders (Imperium) play under a resource deficit, driving spending on fortifications, urgent reinforcements (Dreadnoughts), and production boosts to hold Hive Cities. Attackers (Chaos/Orks) play aggressively, incentivizing spending on high-tier assault units and speed buffs to break through defenses before the campaign timer expires.

  • Boosted Player Retention: In standard maps, isolated players rage-quit on Day 3 after being backstabbed. In this team-locked mode, nobody fights alone. Even if an Astra Militarum player loses territory, they stay in the game because Crimson Fists and Imperial Knights allies are actively rushing to save them, keeping servers highly active until the final day.

  • Fulfilling the IP Power Fantasy: It creates true strategic roles, allowing Imperial forces to act as a unified wall, while Chaos and Orks coordinate massive multi-front assaults.

(P.S. Please clarify if a lore-accurate mode is on your roadmap. Also, were the Crimson Fists not included in the official game license?)
