Thread #11: Long-Distance Strategic Transportation (Spaceports)

Subject: [Suggestion] Long-Distance Troop Transportation via Spaceport Buildings

Dear Dev Team,

To improve late-game macro-management and give players more dynamic strategic options on massive maps, we propose implementing a Long-Distance Strategic Transportation System tied to a new or upgraded building: the Spaceport.

How it would work:

  1. Logistics Network: Once a player constructs a Spaceport in city A and city B, they gain the ability to instantly charter transport flights to move infantry and armored vehicles directly between these two spaceports.

  2. Resource Cost Scaling: This transport action should not be free. It must cost a specific amount of resources (e.g., Promethium), which dynamically scales based on two factors: the physical distance of the flight and the upgrade level of the starting/destination Spaceport.

  3. Speed Progression: The travel speed should noticeably improve as you invest in the building:

  • Level 1 Spaceport: Travel speed is capped at 90.

  • Level 5 Spaceport: Travel speed scales up to 140.

Introducing this building would greatly diversify economic and tactical decisions, allowing players to pull off clutch defensive redeployments or set up massive counter-offensives across the galaxy.
