Research track types in Flashpoint games: what are they, who gets which, and how do they differ?

I'm playing Flashpoint games and I have a query about Research. I can see Eastern, Western & European research tracks (depending upon which nation I am playing).

1. Is that the full set?

2. What are the major differences between them?

3. Which nations have which type of research track?
